Tom Doerger '81 Memorial Stone Recognition

Last Friday at the 20-yard line, we were honored to welcome the Doerger family as we unveiled a memorial stone below the De La Salle Memorial Center walkway, honoring the life and legacy of Tom Doerger ’81.

After his playing days as an offensive tackle for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Tom came back home to La Salle. For 30 years as a teacher and coach, he led by example—demanding excellence, grounding his work in faith, and shaping generations of young men into leaders. He set the standard for what it means to be Called to Serve, both on the field and as a devoted family man.
